I have seven magic words in my trash. You can captivate the other person with these seven magic words in your everyday dialogues.

Using the word “yes” instills motivation and confidence; it’s a great word to articulate to yourself when you need to get psyched up.

If you are going to interact with another person, try to find a way to say “yes” toward the beginning of the conversation, as it will ease the tension and make connections.

Not only that, but studies show that incorporating at least three “little yes” into a conversation.

Don’t let the other person escape till he hears your three yeses, something like we do in formalizing a marriage rehearsing three times “I do.”

A phrase that contains the word “but” always has an enjoyable part and an unpleasant part. Generally, the nice part comes first, and the nasty part comes second.

As soon as the “but” goes mentioned, somehow everything said before stands forgotten. And all one can focus on is what comes after the “but.”

Place your BUT judiciously thinking, well-versed in what you want to lay more emphasis on in front of the other, or your golden conversation will go down the drainpipe.

BECAUSE

Our brain wants to feel like we understand the case for every effect it observes. However, it’s important to note that the brain wants to think like Einstein to understand the cause; it doesn’t infer it.

For instance, most people who ask a question about why they can’t fly will be delighted with the answer “because of gravity.”

Now, they may not know what causes gravity, and while that’s not exactly a complete explanation to their flight question, at least that’s a name for it.

Plus, when matched with the word “because”, it satisfies our brain’s need for causality.

YOUR NAME

Our brain’s job is to process sound information to filter out what is unimportant to rivet on the important stuff.

That’s why when we’re in a crowded, noisy setting, we often pick up our name being called from across the room — because we’re tuned in to listen to it.

What the fuck are they spitting about me?

Thus the next time you want to win someone over, remember to throw their name into the casual conversation once or twice.

Next time someone tells you that they cannot do something, use “if” as a psychological incentive.

“I know you think you can’t, but what if you could?”
