Metro Carolina

This week we are heading just west of Charlotte to Belmont, NC. This town has an established adult amateur league called Metrolina Adult Soccer League, so decided to lean into the metro aspect of that name paired with my love for a club in the Bhutan Premier League: Transport United FC.
The logo itself uses an almost surfboard shape with the metro bus sitting inside a circle. The circle is split into quarter colors which creates a nice offset effect with the parts of the bus. I had a hard time with the font selection again with this logo. Going back and forth between leaving the words horizontal or aligning them with the curve, I decided that the horizontal text did the job.
The Metro would call Ebb Gantt soccer fields their home. This facility isn’t as expansive as some of the other complexes across the state, but it does already have lighting and a with some adjustments could add a stand.
I’m a big fan of the half shirt style and I think the colors for this club fit well with it. The blue line to the left of the gold strip adds a nice dimension to the normal even split.
