Beware The False Apology From The Narcissist

They use it to “re-enter” your life and to let your guard down again

A false apology is a common tactic used by narcissists to win back the trust and respect of those they have harmed. They may apologize for things that didn’t happen or offer an insincere apology that is nothing more than an attempt to make the person feel better.

Here are three warning signs that you may be dealing with a false apology from a narcissist.

When you break up with a narcissist or they lose interest in you, they’ll often try to apologize to get back into your life. They may even mean it at first, but their motives will soon become clear. They’re just trying to control you and make you come back to them.

They’ll often use phrases like “I’m sorry” or “I was wrong” to make you think they’ve changed. But if you look closely, their words don’t match their actions. They may still be manipulative or abusive, and they won’t have learned anything from their mistakes.

In the end, it’s best to stay away from narcissists who can’t or won’t change. Their apologies are nothing more than a means of getting back into your life and controlling you again.
